BusinessCraft Product Updates
Introduction
BusinessCraft periodically Releases product updates to provide new features, enhancements and bug fixes between major Releases.
Product updates can be obtained by following the instructions provided when the product update is announced.
Requirements
For each Product Update, there are usually 5 compressed files with accompanying Release Notes:
Using the BusinessCraft V5.03.04 Product Update as an example, the compressed files are:
STDRPT.zip | BusinessCraft standard reports. |
v503_04.zip | BusinessCraft program files. |
v503_04sys.zip | BusinessCraft system files. |
v503_GENESIS.zip | Genesis files that enable ODBC queries and reports. |
WEBLIB.zip | The WebLib structure required for xfServerPlus applications. |
Download the required files to a directory on the BusinessCraft server dedicated to BusinessCraft downloads, such as Q:\RELEASES\. As part of this process, it is recommended that a directory is created for the version downloaded, e.g. Q:\RELEASES\V503_04\.
It is important to backup BusinessCraft prior to carrying out a product update and for all users to be logged out of BusinessCraft when the update is being carried out.
Obtain Product Update Files
Version 5.03_04 will be used in this explanation. When references to V5.03_04 are made, replace this with the product update being carried out. Furthermore, it is assumed that the BusinessCraft MapDr folder is mapped to Q:\, if an alternate drive letter is used, replace where relevant.
Extract the StdRpt.zip file to Q:\RELEASES\V5.03\V5.03_04\StdRpt
